Lodelle Schuster Tofilau, a talented young netball player, has achieved remarkable success in her sporting journey, showcasing her skills and determination in various competitions. The Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School student has not only made her mark at the school level but has now secured a spot in the prestigious New South Wales (NSW) Primary School Sport Association (PSSA) Netball Team, a testament to her dedication and hard work.
Lodelle has demonstrated consistent performances at school level competitions and her talent caught the attention of selectors at the Sydney Catholic Schools Conference Trials, held at Homebush.
Impressing the coaches with her exceptional skills and tactical acumen, Lodelle moved forward to the Sydney Trials, where she faced off against some of the best young netball players in the region. Undeterred by the tough competition, she secured her place in the Sydney team, competing against other diocesan teams from Parramatta, Wollongong, Canberra/Goulburn at Wagga Wagga at the MacKillop Selection trials held in Canberra.
Lodelle’s commendable performance at the MacKillop Trials not only earned her recognition but also a ticket onto the MacKillop Netball team that would see her team compete at the NSWPSSA Netball Championships held in Port Macquarie. The MacKillop team faced thirteen teams from across New South Wales, and she displayed unmatched determination, contributing significantly to her team’s success.
As a result of her exceptional performance, she represented New South Wales at the School Sport Australia Netball Championships in Western Australia, competing against top talents from other states, with the NSW Team securing third place.
Outside of school, Lodelle is an active participant in the Liverpool Netball Association, where she plays for the Hot Shots team and represents the Liverpool Representative Netball Squad. Lodelle will also showcase her skills when she travels to Brisbane as a member of the Indoor Netball State Team later this year.
But it’s not just her sporting prowess that sets Lodelle apart. The young athlete also serves as a Sports House Captain at Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School, leading by example and inspiring her peers through her actions. Known for her outstanding sportsmanship and humility, she constantly encourages others to reach their full potential, while remaining modest about her own accomplishments.
