Proudly Part Of The Community Of Sydney Catholic Schools

Why choose us?

At Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School Hoxton Park we recognise the individuality of each student and instil a sense of belonging for all. Our dedicated team of teachers collaboratively design learning that is challenging, engaging and empowering. With open spaces we ensure that children have room to play, explore and express themselves.

Our family and faith initiatives have built a very strong sense of community, driven by diversity, where all are welcome. With the support of our parish, parents and the wider community, our students grow to be confident, capable learners.

Principal’s Message

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the website of Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School Hoxton Park.

As part of the parish community of Good Shepherd we strive each day to work together to be ‘Nurturing Disciples’. In Scripture, Jesus, the Good Shepherd (John 10:8), takes care of his whole flock. Each student in our school is valued, cared for and known. There is a deep connection between our school and parish. At Good Shepherd, students and families are provided with opportunities to grow in faith and hope for a bright future.

History
our history

Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School Hoxton Park was opened in 1997, in response to the expressed needs of the Catholic families living within the Parish. The school opened with just 54 children between Kinder and Year 2. The school’s founding Principal was Frances Kelly.

Since then, the school has grown to be a place where each person nurtures, and is nurtured, to realise their full potential as members of the Good Shepherd community.

The spirit of the community permeates all the endeavours of the school with the person of Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd, as its focal point.

Mission
our history
To provide highly effective teaching that challenges and inspires all learners.
